NovaOffice is moving now, to Strandgaten 221. Today is a good day, the company have reached a important step in a major project, delivered and proved the ability to fulfill our customers expectations.

This is important, because the contract is about a multinational company. This implies that NovaOffice got a reason to live, a meaning about itself as a company.

It is good to be manager of the systems department in a company delivering IP-telephony systems to the business market, with aknowledge and appreciation from our customers…

The website datamart.eu was originally an idea to test, give power, see if it will fly…

It is taking its first steps at this moment, the idea have been presented to a few extreme-tech companies, a few experienced coaches, marketers, a person with a doctorate in usability and others. They all catch the idea, and want realize it. It’s fun, and also a bit hard work.

Time will tell if the end result will be prosperous enough to make a living out of it. At the moment, it looks really promising…

What do the Czech IT network look like? It is possible to make stable IP telephony with it?
There is only one way to find out: Going down to get our hands dirty. So there we went, me and two others.
The main reason for this was that we had to experience the (possybly in-)stability of the network, to ensure ourselves about how to get rid of the jitter problem.

The network was analyzed, the quality was really impressing. The Czech network supplier do not only know what technologi to use, but also how to make it work REALLY good!

The radio linked network was not good compared to the network in Norway, but calls were made with lower latency and echo over the wireless network than over the plain old phone lines. The Czech phone companies are doing a really good job considered the regulations and economics within the republic, but there is probably possible to improve the wired infrastructure a bit.

The next step is to find a decent VoIP provider in the Czech republic…

Friday, I met somebody that made a desition in the past, about starting a company selling IT related stuff. He was marketing and selling some others products. This was a good thing ™ until sonebody got a bit too greedy.

Now, the things have turned a bit, the result is that he got bored, tried to sell his company (the company with the customers) to the other company (the company with the product). The company with the product did not want to pay for the customers, so things went bad.

Even if some things are bad, it does not mean that the consept as a whole is bad, there is clearly a bit of job to do but hopefully not too much.

This is a thypical example of Jeremiah 10:23, there is no way of knowing the end result.

Damsgard IKT is a small company making webpages and internet publishing tools. The company is lacking two things at the moment: The first thing is sales force, the second is people to make the company running.

Luckily, the other three partners in the company wanted to get out. This have created the oportunity to make a change in the company. The first thing is to complete all ongoing assignments. When this is happening, there is a process of doing the formalities, hire people and companies to create the remaining products, and make some sales people interested.

The process have started, the things will (hopefully) be right at track soon.

The Talking Manager series is a series of SIP proxies / gateways that exists to make IP telephony possible. The series is proxying between different networks, ensuring admins on networks where the security lies on the firewall.
