Day 4: Real improvement

2009
01.30

This have been a strange day..

Started with a peach-flavoured shaker, it was actually kind of good.

Work was not so disoriented as yesterday (thank god..), the brain was not as dead as yesterday. My colleagues told me that I did look like shit today, the eyes were foggy and the overall apperance was scrubby. I felt bad, but not so bad as yesterday.

The drive home was quite normal, an two hours drive in heavy traffic – but I was not so disoriented as the previous days.

Dinner was the first portion of Mushroom Soup. It was lumpy but surprisingly tasty. Strange.. Seemes as if I´ve gotten a bit used to having dried milk in everyting.

Workout change everything

Due to the horribly unfocused brain, I´ve been working overtime the last days. If I´ve known the shape I would get into, in advance, I would have moved a part of the summer holiday to these last days.

Anyway: Tonight was the first workout for a week, due to the overtime. The body reacted in an unexpected way. Initially, everything was a nightmare. The muscles simply did not want to cooperate. After around half an hour, something did happend. I passed a wall of pain, and was able to do a normal workout. Then another wall was passed and the workout got more intense than ever. The result: No pain afterwards at all!
Have been trying to workout as hard as possible on each workout, but today was the first day ever without pain everywhere after a workout. I love it!

Meal after the workout: Chockolate shaker. Got a electric mixer set, that did the trick. The shaker got into the form of lump-free mousse – and was really good!

Am glad the first days are over, the xtravlcd-junk seemes to work. Hope the remaining days will be better..

Day 3

2009
01.30

3

The day was started by almost oversleeping. Felt as if I could have slept all day. After that, a portion of the vegetable soup was made. It was not so bad as yesterday.

Today have been a day where the energy level was not quite so low than yesterday. It was not by any means normal – but at least I did manage to do a decent job and be able to drive back home without problems.

At home, a portion of the Asparagus soup was eaten. It’s a little bit worse than the vegetable soup, but today it was drinkable.

From time to time the taste of cheap artificially produced milk have been overwhelmed by a foul taste of something.. It might be that the body is starting to clean itself from slag and other contamination, or that it from time to time is starrting to produce Ketones to protect itself.

Anyway: After having some rest, my wife and i went to the theatre. We saw a funny performance. After that, Peach-flavoured “food” was consumed. It did not taste as good as yesterday, but it was drinkable.

It’s hard to consentrate tonight..

End of day 2, part 2

The last supper (with the vegetable soup) was not as disgusting as the other meals. It was actually pretty good.

This time, it was made with 0.7 dl cold water, and the rest of the water got heated. The decrease of cold water made me get the soup mixed without the lumps. It became a paste-like consistent. Then the paste got thinned with water in two steps: The initial step was with a tiny bit water to get the paste fluid.

The lump-free version is significantly better!

End of day 2

2009
01.28

Low on energy, but I’ve found two bags of “food” that’s not too bad.

exhausted_dogIt was almost dangerous to drive home from work.

After an hours drive, i was so exhausted that I simply could not drive. The heat was cranked up because I was cold, and the overall condition was not good.

I had to stop driving, and sleep a bit. The brain was simply not working, it was hard to keep my eyes up.

Normally on Wednesdays, I answer emails, help people with Unix-related problems on a few newsgroups, and study until I goto sleep. Today, I’m simply not up to it. Strange, I did expect a bit of drop in my overall shape but not this..

Anyway, the good things is that the Peach – flavored “food” did taste less of mud than the stuff I forced into myself yesterday. The after-taste of powdered milk did continue until “dinner”. At dinner I drank a portion of Strawberry-flavored mud, and the after-taste got a bit sweeter.

The “mud of the day” did not get the warning about not using it for more than three weeks. Wonder why they are without the warnings, if it’s because they are more nutrious then the vegetable soup – og if it’s because they are so hazardous that the food experts dont bother warning about the obvious.

:-)

This is continued, look at part 2

xtravaganza sublimal messages

2009
01.28

Here are a small interception from the first section of the xtravaganza CD. Personally, I am OK about the idea that you can take control of your mind – and the subconsciousness will follow. This is quite the opposite: Loose control of your mind, open yourself to whatever influence you’ll get from listening to the CD – and hope it will make you loose weight..

What makes people follow those ideas? What makes you want to let your mind go astray voluntarily? What have happened to the warning “we have a wrestling…against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places“?

End of day 1: The “food” so far is disaster

2009
01.27

cappuccino shake - REALLY lumpyIt’s nothing like the taste of artificially sweetened, sticky powder..

So far, three bags of the “food” are consumed:

  • Vegetable soup
The start of the day.. This look like artificial milk. The taste is as sweet mud with a little bit of bouillon. The after-taste is of cheap powdered milk, mixed with soy, blended with sweet a overdose of Aspartame.
  • Blueberry shake
This have no resemblance with any blueberry whatsoever. Its lumps got the exact matching color of the pink non-woven cloths used to clean toilets. The smell was of the same cheap powder milk as above – and the taste..
  • Cappuccino shake
I did love Cappuccino, but the first bag of cappuccino mix have cured me for years.. The only good thing about the Cappuccino shake is that you’ll never, ever use powdered milk in any setting anymore.

So far, the only good thing to say about the food is: It have made my allergic reactions to milk go through the roof. The shakes are also really hard to make without lumps.

I wonder why there are a warning on the wegetable soup, a statement abut consulting a doctor if used for more than three weeks. The warning is not on the Blueberry and the Cappuccino shakes.

Freedom – at least for now

2009
01.26

Kazakhstan is slowly becoming a normal place to be, at least when it comes to human right. According to the press site of Jehovas Witnesses, a serious ban on Jehovas Witnesses have been lifted!

- Have waited a bit to write about it, there have been several incidents about religious trolls lurking in the Akimat in Almaty (the local government). The result is told at the link above: Be happy for having the medieval trolls controlled a bit.

By the way: There are medieval trolls lurking in the Norweian bureaucracy as well, for the time being most of them are in NAV (the combined office for aid of unemployed and disabled people) – and they are controlled just as well as the Kazakh trolls..

Exercise from the book “Software testing foundations”

2009

wet feetHere are Ketils personal notes from a walkthrough of the book “software testing foundations”, combined with notes on agile testing and parts from the wikipedia. Look if you wish, it’s as imperfect and unusable as such notes always should be.

2.1 Define the terms failure, fault and error

Failure := Desribes the event when a user experiencne a problem, a non-fulfillment of a given requirenment. Examples of failures are products that .

Fault := the cause of a failure

Error := A failure to complete a task, usually involving a premature termination (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/error)

Dont use any version of Internet Explorer, earlier than ver. 8

2009
01.24

Sorry to say, but there are a reason why Microsoft is having problems at the moment.. One of the issues is the general arrogance when it comes to following normal ways of conducting business, another issue is the vendor lockout: If you dont make your website follow M$-webstandards, including the M$ security exploits, then..

As a small protest against this: There are two warnings on this site.
If you’re running a halfway dated version of IE, then you’ll see a small bit about Firefox.
If you’re running a old version of IE, then you wont see the content of the site.

It’s just a small protest against the old IE, the newer version follow the standards a bit better than the old ones – so let’s just hope M$ dont get worse..

Basic strategies for integration testing

2009
01.24

Here are a small listing of the basic integration strategies a test manager can use when he’s designing a test strategy:

Top-down integration:

The test starts with the top level component of the system that calls the components but is not called itself (the top component).

Stubs must substitute all non-finished lower-level components, integration proseede with the lower-leel components as soon as they are produced.

Advantage: Test drivers are not needed, the highere-level components are the test-drivers.

Disadvantage: This is a very costly method, because of the amount of stubs to be produced.
