Going to the limit: Hurt.. :-)

Just love stretching the limits! – So what will a man do when he’s trying to get in shape – and the last workout was hard?

Just found out (once more, there’s some things one never learn) that even if the rest of the body are trying to get a workout, pushing your legs to the limit twice in a row – makes them hurt a bit..

Just love the kick of feeling the Andrenaline running in the body. Even if I was a little bit careful with the legs – and rested in the Sauna afterwards – the front thighs feel like..

Even if the legs feel like the have been hammered by a huge cactus, the rest of the body feels great. It’s a totally new experience, having exhausted thights at the same time as the rest of the body say “can hardly wait until the next workout”.

It’s a fascinating experiment, the Xtravaganza system. Will be a joint workout session Monday. Am exited about it – so far the system have exceeded all expectations. Wonder when the downside of it will show..

Xtravaganza Workout: Making the world spin

One of the nice things about this “diet” is that the body get in REALLY good shape! Have tightened the workout a bit, and am starting to feel better than ever.

It’s kind of hard to explain, but for the first time I’ve been longing for having a workout at the gym. Strange feeling..

Tried spinning for the 1st time in life yesterday, took a look at the Schedule for spring 2009, at “Sprek og blid” Ã…sane and started with “black” level of spinning. Wanted to test the limits on the “half speed” section of the diet.. (more…)

Rain in Bergen, for the last 7 days

For some reason you can not live in Bergen, Norway without having a strange relation to the concept of being wet. Just take a look at the image to the left, it’s an daily updated graph of the last week. (from verstasjon.net)

In comparison, Sacramento, California got a little bit over 1 mm rain a day in average..

Sorry to say, but after struggling with Qemu on Debian Etch, Debian Lenny, Ubuntu 8.04 and Ubuntu 8.10, the conclusion is: DONT!

The reason is not that it’s hard to set up or use, quite the contrary. The reason is that when using Qemu and VNC simultaneously, the kernel dies from time to time. Sometimes it’s the Qemu-image that segfaults, other times it’s the servers kernel that segfaults.

Sun have a far better – and more stable – alternative, use it.

Changes in the mind

Mind over matter, in the context of the idea that the mental forces will make one overcome physical obstacles, are something the Xtravaganza-system want to hammer into the body by self-hypnosis.

Much of the same effect can be achieved by meditation, thereby looking atthe path traveled and what’s ahead of you. The sub-concious part of the mind can be a strong thing, especially when working with the concious part.

It’s all in your mind. Wether you want to change yourself or not, wether you like it or not, wether you want or..

You got the powers to change yourself, change parts your base personality and parts of your looks. You got the power to boost your own self-esteem – as well as the power to be a real loser if you want. It’s all in your mind..

Since it’s all in your mind: Be really careful about what you are putting into your mind. Garbage in becomes garbage out – too easy..

What do you think about the new layout?

Making this site is like making a building: Make sure you got a good foundation (wordpress), exand the functionality (lots of plugins) and ensure that you got a flexible layout.

Then add a bit of content, some pictures and..

The only thing is: What is missing? What kind of content would you like to see? do you like or hate the layout?

Result from the third week of dieting

The diet itself is actually not the main thing – it’s the change of lifestyle that’s the best!

Was visiting some relatives last weekend – and did eat “their” food Sunday. My grandmother is ill, and she evaluates people according to their eating habits. If I want her to go in her grave being pissed at me, there’s only one thing I can do: Dont eat the Sunday meals she makes.

It was surprising how much energy the food an take away from you. Everybody present was used to eating so heavy food that the stomac took all the energy from the body – at least for half an hour.

Since the diet have lasted more than three weeks, it was strange to feel tired after eating – and see all the others being sleepy after the meals. (more…)
