Siste Xtravaganza-trening før sommerferien

Hadde siste trening før sommerferien i går. Var en annerledes trening, under siste halvdel gjorde vi treningsøvelser av den typen man kan gjøre under ferien.

Er egentlig rart å tenke på at vi tar mageøvelser som jeg ikke hadde hatt nubbesjangs på tidligere. Og vi tar mange av de..

Sometimes I feel like a rolling stone, always rolling around, making a track that get lost in the wind..

It’s time for a change. Todays Extravaganza – session was the last before the summer holiday, the last of the sessions with education. Time for a summary.

  • Have lost A LOT of weight. Personally, 22 kilos are lost. The entire group (12 persons) have lost more than 190 kilos. In average, we’ve lost 18½ percent body fat.
  • All in group told that they are in better shape than ever, a key to success.
  • There will be group training regularily until mid January, another key to personal success for each person. To lose THAT amount of weight mean that the body are desperate to get  back in the “last known good” situation, it simply want all back (and then some).
  • The people in group with Diabethes 2, are cured.

Now, it’s time for the real test, to see if the change will last.

Report from two weeks of training

Since last monday was 2. day of Pentecost,it was a national holyday in Norway. Hence no weekly report.

The last two weeks training have proven that the high felt initially has a cost. Have been tired physically. Not as tired as the taily tiredness of being overweight and in seriously bad shape, but not in too good shape either.

Seemes as if the body have normalized itself quite a bit. Hope it’s for the good in the long run.

Report from week 10

Summer fun

This evenings Xtravaganza – meeting was the one with fewest people ever. Either a LOT of people that have come to a halt on the diet – and given up – or they have not been able to handle the great weather there have been in Bergen the last days. :-)

The people that came to the meeting, was REALLY slim versions of themselves. Last week, some had lost several kilos – but others had lost almost nothing.
This week, all that came were tighter and more fit than last week. Dont know anything about their weightloss – but everybody seemed to be in excellent shape.

Normalizing next week, exited to see how it’s going

This week have been strange, diet-wise. It’s clear that the body need some more food, I should go on ~1200 calories / day according to the “half speed” stage of the Xtravaganza – diet, have been on ~1400 – ~1600 calories. Have not been doing the planned amount of exercise either, the weightloss are starting to show its toll.

Really getting the hang on Xtravaganza

So you think you can dance? Not until you have tried the Xtravaganza diet!

After almost a month of “rytmic gym”, i finally get the hang on some of the moves.

On the lighter side, 17 kilos are lost – and the percentage of body fat have gone down to 9. 17 kilos in 9 weeks, and a change from more than 38% body fat to 9% is a bit extreme. Hope it will be a permanent change..

Report from the mountain

Lake on Mount Floyen

Was in the “mountain” named Fløyfjellet with some friends. They were in great shape, but after four hours walking I was not the most tired one. It is at least ten years since my last four-hour walk in the mountains, but I was in better shape than them. ;-)

It’s really boosting the self-esteem to know that even if one are a geek, one can STILL be match people who have been working out since early childhood..

The Xtravaganza – system have been doing wonders!

8th weekly session

The 8th session was the longest so far. The workout was a new one – new instructor and the program was a weightlifting program. I felt like the workout guy here. According to the trainers at the gym, the most efficient exercises are those where you workout the body in a new way. The weightlifting program found some arm / back muscles previously unnoticed – “Teres Minor” and others. Today I can hardly lift my arms due to stiff shoulder muscles and more..

Nice to feel that they want to not overlook some parts of the body – since all diets are trying to make your body loose muscle mass instead of fat.

According to a detoxification website, Aspartame is the common denominator for over 92 different health symptoms at the root of modern disease. Wikipedia got two articles about it: One  controversal and one neutral.

Sorry to say, but every soup, every shaker, everything in the Xtravlcd – system is based on Aspartane.

Am glad the “half speed” system is almost over for me..
