Normalizing next week, exited to see how it’s going

This week have been strange, diet-wise. It’s clear that the body need some more food, I should go on ~1200 calories / day according to the “half speed” stage of the Xtravaganza – diet, have been on ~1400 – ~1600 calories. Have not been doing the planned amount of exercise either, the weightloss are starting to show its toll.

Really getting the hang on Xtravaganza

So you think you can dance? Not until you have tried the Xtravaganza diet!

After almost a month of “rytmic gym”, i finally get the hang on some of the moves.

On the lighter side, 17 kilos are lost – and the percentage of body fat have gone down to 9. 17 kilos in 9 weeks, and a change from more than 38% body fat to 9% is a bit extreme. Hope it will be a permanent change..

Report from the mountain

Lake on Mount Floyen

Was in the “mountain” named Fløyfjellet with some friends. They were in great shape, but after four hours walking I was not the most tired one. It is at least ten years since my last four-hour walk in the mountains, but I was in better shape than them. ;-)

It’s really boosting the self-esteem to know that even if one are a geek, one can STILL be match people who have been working out since early childhood..

The Xtravaganza – system have been doing wonders!

8th weekly session

The 8th session was the longest so far. The workout was a new one – new instructor and the program was a weightlifting program. I felt like the workout guy here. According to the trainers at the gym, the most efficient exercises are those where you workout the body in a new way. The weightlifting program found some arm / back muscles previously unnoticed – “Teres Minor” and others. Today I can hardly lift my arms due to stiff shoulder muscles and more..

Nice to feel that they want to not overlook some parts of the body – since all diets are trying to make your body loose muscle mass instead of fat.

Just before the 7th diet session

Give up

Status just before the session: The body and mind are back to normal,when it comes to the shape. There are no extreme progress anymore when it comes to the overall slimming progress – from my point of view.

Other persons are having a small shock when they see me, they tell there have become a “glow” from me, as a person in really good shape. It’s nice to hear – and also nice to experience that difference – but it’s mainly on the outside.

This is the dangerous part, where the “superman”-situation fade and you wonder what’s the biggest looser: The one that have gone through this – or the one that are half of the old self.. At the same time, it’s the situation the CDs are preparing you for, where it’s time to face the real world; face the music.

Giving up seemes easy, because the hype is over. Falling back to the old lifestyle is the most easy thing in the world. But then again: Where are the fun in that? Where are the challenge if I give up now?

This diet is a experiment, a change of lifestyle. The change of lifestyle shall NOT be to become a quitter!

It is a kitten in me, one that loves playing with things, experimenting to get a better result. It is not playful to become a quitter..

Deep black workout

In the Xtravaganza “book” (a book that come with the course) it promises that you are going to get a lot more energy. There are only one way to prove this to be right or wrong – and no other fool to do it than myself..

Was in excellent shape ten years ago, but a serious back problem made me change habits. Got myself a office-job as CTO / Senior Development Engineer, and the body went into “geek-shape”.. (more…)

2nd spinning done, orange spin ++

Spinning is great. Unfortunately, Svett og Blid Åsane got a limitation: It´s not possible to sign up for training more than an hour in advance.

This limitation made me unable to use the black spinning today, so instead: Workout before spinning, where the legs were almost skipped, and the Orange spin tonight.

The Orange spin was really mild compared to the black. Even if the “pool of sweat” was present under the spinning bike, I was able to walk just after the exersise. Last spin was so exhaustive that the legs would not carry for the first minutes.

One spinning a week, combined with two other hard workouts, make wonders to the body!
